An MSc thesis at HSLU’s School of Business (co-examined by Profila co-founder Luke Bragg). Across four online focus groups with twenty millennials in six German-speaking Swiss cantons, it asks which items of personal data people will share for a desired benefit. The finding: they share only what they believe a transaction genuinely needs, and will walk away when asked for more — and the single biggest lever is trust. Higher trust between a person and a company lowers their skepticism and makes them markedly less hesitant to share.
